Karen Gonzalez-Videla, B.A.
Graduate Student Clinician
Languages in which I conduct therapy: English, Spanish.
Pronouns: She/her/hers
My approach to therapy: I am a current student at the USF Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling Master鈥檚 Program and a graduate student clinician at the USF counseling center. I am a cisgender Argentinian woman. Immigrating to the United States while growing up gave me a different perspective on life and multiculturalism, and I use that experience as motivation to learn about different cultural realities in the counseling setting. I employ a humanistic approach first that prioritizes empathy regarding these lived experiences, as well as evidence-based approaches like reality therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I also love using nature-inspired interventions when beneficial and appropriate to an office setting and will be happy to do so if desired!
Fun Fact: I have loved nature for as long as I can remember and have a passion for protecting it and spreading awareness about its struggles through wildlife photography.
