Jessica Birg, M.A.
Pronouns: she/her/hers
Languages in which I conduct therapy: English
My approach to therapy: I identify as a cisgender Jewish woman. I am a fifth-year clinical psychology doctoral student at USF, in a year-long externship starting Fall 2024 at the USF Counseling Center. As a therapist, I work to help clients achieve a sense of agency and purpose through values-driven goal pursuit. I primarily utilize acceptance and change-based therapeutic approaches (cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy) and am flexible in catering to the client鈥檚 needs and personal goals for treatment.
Professional affiliations: As part of my ongoing doctoral training, I also see clients at the USF Psychological Services Center and conduct independent research on authenticity and social anxiety.
A Fun Fact: My first language was Russian.
