My approach to therapy: I value creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore and build upon their strengths, while learning new techniques, to create the life they desire. My approach to therapy involves providing personalized care by tailoring treatment to clients’ unique needs and preferences. With empathy, authenticity, and respect as my guiding principles, my approach is rooted in meeting clients where they are in life. My goal is not just to help clients navigate current challenges, but to equip clients with tools and insight for long-term growth. I draw from evidence-based practices, primarily from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. As a biracial, cisgender, heterosexual women who was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands, I bring a unique perspective to my work, which is grounded in cultural humility. I look forward to building genuine connections with students and working collaboratively to facilitate growth and progress toward their mental health goals.
My approach to supervision: My framework of supervision is rooted in the Integrative Developmental Model. I strive to meet trainees where they are in their professional development, offer support and encouragement, while also focusing on evidenced based practices, to help trainees meet their goals and grow within the profession.
A Fun Fact: I love being active. In my free time, you can find me walking my dog, playing volleyball, or exploring new events/spots in the area.
