About Us
Jessica Dandan
Jessica Dandan, PhD., Licensed Psychologist
Pronouns: She/her/hers
Languages in which I conduct therapy: English, French and Arabic
My approach to therapy: I use an integrative culturally sensitive approach to therapy primarily informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). My research and clinical experience have been inspired by a passion for the mind-body connection and factors that influence that dynamic. This includes lifestyle, health, interpersonal patterns, sense of self, culture, identity, environmental stressors and trauma. I strongly believe in prevention and think that anyone can benefit from therapy to improve various aspects of their lives. I encourage individuals to be curious about themselves, become an active agent in their lives and strive towards one which they find to have meaning and purpose to them.
My approach to supervision: I take a developmental approach to supervision to meet the needs of supervisees, identify skillset, strengths, and areas of growth to accompany them in their journey towards forming their professional identity.
A Fun Fact: I enjoy playing sports, music and science and have lived in 7 different countries.
