B.S. INFORMATION SCIENCE
The Bachelor of Science in Information Science (BSIS) program prepares students for leadership careers in a wide array of environments and contexts related to the emerging knowledge economy in 91社区 and beyond, from e-commerce, to leading IT teams, or as preparation for advanced careers in information architecture, health informatics or other areas. Please note that some careers will require further education.
INTELLIGENCE STUDIES MINOR
The Minor in Intelligence Studies provides an introductory foundation to the profession and practice of intelligence. Students are acquainted with the structure and function of the US Intelligence Community; ethical and professional issues in the intelligence field; intelligence analytic methods; tools and techniques for collecting/analyzing data and information from publicly available sources; and professional writing and briefing skills that are essential for effective analytic communication. This minor can complement undergraduate majors such as Political Science, International Studies, Foreign Language studies, Criminology, Business, or Social/Behavioral Sciences.
HEALTH INFORMATICS MINOR
The minor in Health Informatics will provide students with foundational competencies in health informatics. Areas of emphasis include the design, development, adoption, implementation, and application of IT-based innovations in healthcare services delivery, public health, consumer health, and health information management. Health information technology standards, terminology, policy, privacy and security are also covered in this minor program.
Students will be required to take 2 core courses to cover the fundamentals of health informatics. The students will then be able to tailor their minor towards there career path by selecting two electives.
Strategic and Cyber Intelligence Program (SCIP)
The Strategic and Cyber Intelligence Program (SCIP) is an Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (legacy IC-CAE). The Congressionally-mandated IC CAE program was established to support the development of intelligence education and national security programs through partnership with selected universities. SCIP has established several academic programs to support this objective at the graduate and undergraduate level.
