Career and professional wellness refers to the ability to prepare for work in which we feel satisfied and enriched. It also involves learning how to manage workplace stress, and building relationships at work.
Read the following statements and answer to yourself how much each statement reflects you.

1. Getting An Internship/Co-op
Experiential learning is critical for students to not only gain experience in their field, but to also learn if their expectations of the application of their education lines up with reality. Internships prepare you for the real world and help you finally decide if you've chosen the correct career path if there were any doubts. Many times, internships and other experiential learning opportunities will turn into full-time positions after graduation. To get connected to these experiences, check out the link below.
2. Help With Selecting A Major
This can be daunting for many students because you may not know exactly what you want to do with the rest of your life, but you feel pressured to make a decision relatively early on as a student. USF's Career Services offers a couple of helpful resources on how to make the correct choice. In addition to the two links below, you should consider calling Career Services to meet with a Career Counselor or schedule an appointment in Handshake.
3. Improving My Interview Skills
Once you have finalized your resume you'll need to be able to represent yourself well in person. The key to nailing your interview is to be well rounded and well prepared. 4. Knowing If I've Chosen The Right Major
It's important to also know what you're getting into if you've already chosen a major. Majors can lead to jobs within a certain field or industry, but they can also prepare you for other jobs as well. It's important to know if the major you are seeking will lead you to skills that are required in the career you have chosen. Career Services offers a list of resources that will help you research what your major can do for you.
5. Writing A Resume
Writing a resume is a necessary step that needs to be completed to get the job you want. A resume's job is to quickly and efficiently showcase the skills and experiences you want to bring to a company and convince the person reading it that you would be a good fit for the position they are posting. This is the first impression that the company will have of you, so it is very important to showcase your skills and abilities properly. You have several options of where to get resume assistance:
