Academic Year 2020-2021 marks the 1st Consolidated Term for the University of South 91社区 Student Government.
Structure
Student Government is broken down into 3 branches: Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. On the USF level students from across all 3 campuses may apply for and be selected to serve within each branch. On the campus level, they are also 3 branches, but those positions may only be held by a student from that campus.
More information to come as the year takes us to new places.
Over the years, various Student Government administrations have created impactful programs, services and policies to support the student body. Here are some of the most significant initiatives:
Tampa History
32nd Term
- The tradition of Movies on the Lawn (MOTL) began in Fall 1991 when a student named Stacy Bruels suggested that the back wall of the Special Events Center be used to screen newly released films. Until 2009, a movie was shown every Wednesday at 9pm with popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, nachos, a variety of candy and other treats given out to students. MOTL continues today and is supported by the Center for Student Involvement.
