Eligibility
Who is eligible to be in the Pearl program? Anyone who:
- Is an active USF student
- Has lived in the foster care setting for six months or more.
Yes, it is that simple! Success does not come without determination and grit. As a Bull, we know you are determined and ready for success. We also know the journey can be difficult to navigate. So when it is, we are here for you. We encourage all students to engage at their own pace and willingness.
How does a student get in the program?
A member of our team contacts all students who have utilized the DCF waiver. If you
are a current student and believe you meet our simple eligibility requirements but
do not qualify for the special waiver, do not fret -- complete a self-referral by
emailing us.
If you are a prospective or newly admitted student, be on the lookout for communication
from our office shortly after acceptance to USF.
