CITL supports the USF community of learners by promoting evidence-based practices
for the advancement of learning, teaching, and scholarly activity. CITL provides faculty
with resources and an environment to explore new and innovative ways to engage in
learning and scholarship.

Office of High Impact Practices and Undergraduate Research
The Office of High-Impact Practices and Undergraduate Research supports faculty wishing
to expand the use of HIPs in their courses and assists them in supporting our students
through research mentorship and global learning.
Office of National Scholars
Previously named the Office of National Scholarships we have recently changed our
name to the Office of National Scholars (ONS) to underscore that scholarly development
is, and always has been our focus. ONS’ mission requires a strong base of faculty
support to help students with research connections and co-mentoring with us. To find

Building A Digital Ecosystem
Beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year, Provost Wilcox launched a Digital Ecosystem
Workgroup focused on matters of significant importance in strengthening the Preeminent
stature of a consolidated USF. Since spring 2020 these efforts transitioned to rapidly
respond to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Faculty Peer Mentors
College and Department Peer mentors will work with faculty one-on-one to assist them
as needed in the pedagogical design and implementation of their courses, consulting
with or referring them to appropriate units of the Learning Support Team.
SB 266 Guidance
This guidance addresses three broad areas within the law: (1) state prohibitions on
expenditures related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; (2) powers and duties of
university presidents related to faculty employment; and (3) updates to the requirements
of the state’s general education curriculum for bachelor’s degree programs.
Guidance for Generative AI
USF recognizes the increasing availability and impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools on teaching and learning. As Generative AI technologies rapidly evolve, it is crucial for faculty to be equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to integrate this powerful technology into their teaching practices.
