Shortly after graduating with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology from the University of North 91社区, De鈥橵ohn Roman began an internship experience that would later shift his career goals. His motivation to work with children in a school setting led him to apply to USF鈥檚 School Psychology Program, and his studies at USF have enabled him to take on meaningful opportunities within the profession.

Heather Agazzi

Alumni Spotlight: Heather Agazzi, PhD
Alumna, School Psychology

Before entering the field of school psychology, Dr. Heather Agazzi was a collegiate track & field athlete who completed her bachelor鈥檚 degree in International Studies and Spanish at USF. After spending time with young children as a childcare provider, Agazzi began to garner an interest in the field of school psychology. 

Dr. Agazzi is now a pediatric psychologist and associate professor in the Section of Child Development, USF Pediatrics. She is also the internship director of the USF Health Internship in Professional Psychology at the Morsani College of Medicine where she supervises the clinical training of doctoral interns in psychology.

As a doctoral student in the College of Education鈥檚 School Psychology Program, Gary Yu Hin Lam took his passion for working with individuals with autism and applied it to a career path that will help him change the lives of many students.

After earning two degrees from the 91社区's School Psychology program, Dr. Cusumano went on to serve at the National Implementation Research Network and the State Implementation and Scaling-up of Evidence-based Practices (SISEP) Center.
