Early Admission
ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS
- 11th graders apply as early as September of their junior year and attend full time in 12th grade after completing a Degree Seeking Application (see below).
- Students take 12-15 credits each semester (Fall and Spring). Students earn credit toward both a baccalaureate degree and completion of the high school diploma.
- Use the correct link . See Application Procedure link or link in the menu to the left. All students must complete Early Admission Form 1 after appying. Follow steps.
- Application is done while a junior in high school see Requirements.
- Students do not re-apply to USF after high school graduation - they continue as a bachelors student.
MUST READ: For High School Students ONLY. The Admission Office CANNOT Help you with Early University Programs. Call or email dualenrollment@usf.edu for any Early Admission information. The Early Admissions process for students who are still in High School is different. DO NOT call or email the USF admissions office.
Early Admission is a form of dual enrollment whereby eligible high school students are admitted to USF as full-time students for fall and spring semesters of their high school senior year. They apply while a junior before March 1st, but attend full time starting in the fall of their senior year in high school.
All transcripts/test scores must be in by March 1st - do not send them at the last week as scores take 3-5 weeks to arrive: Must be received by admissions no later than March 1st to be considered.
Early admission is open to students from any high school setting: public school districts, charter schools, private schools, or homeschools. Schools, School Districts, Homeschools with students interested in participating in early admissions can request an Early Admission Articulation Agreement with USF by submitting an electronic request. Students seeking to attend Early Admissions at USF in their SENIOR year of high school must begin the application process in the as early as September of their junior year of high school.

- The USF Office of Admissions reserves the right to CLOSE the application early due to capacity.
- While many of the policies and procedures for early admission are the same for regular dual enrollment, early admission students have different requirements. Please see requirements and deadlines.
Students interested in starting their post-secondary academic journey early may also be interested in applying to the Judy Genshaft Honors College (JGHC). FIRST apply to Early Admission, then apply to Honors College. All requirements must be completed by March 1st.
Honors College is not required for Early Admission students but is an OPTION
