鈥淐ANCER CENTER NURSES鈥 SLEEP HEALTH AND ITS ASSOCIATION WITH WORK PERFORMANCE鈥
In this pilot project, we investigated sleep health of cancer center nurses (CCNs) and tested risk/protective factors and cognitive outcomes of sleep health. We collected data from just over 60 nurses who provide direct care to cancer patients to: (1) document their sleep health in multiple forms (measured by actigraphy and ambulatory assessments) and examine its associations with cognitive performance at work, (2) examine demographic, work, and psychosocial characteristics associated with their sleep health, and (3) assess the feasibility of a future intervention to improve CCNs鈥 sleep health.
鈥淒IRECT CARE WORKERS鈥 SLEEP HEALTH AND ITS ASSOCIATION WITH WORK PERFORMANCE鈥
In this pilot project, we investigated sleep health of direct care workers (DCWs) and tested risk/protective factors and cognitive outcomes of sleep health. We collected data from just over 30 direct care workers to: (1) document their sleep health in multiple forms (measured by actigraphy and ambulatory assessments) and examine its associations with cognitive performance at work, (2) identify risk and protective factors of sleep health in direct-care workers, and (3) assess the feasibility of a future intervention to improve DCWs鈥 sleep health.
鈥淪leep, Pain, Active Social Life, and Inflammation (SPAI)鈥 鈥 NIH/NHLBI R01 (PI: Lee, 02/2023-01/2027)
To examine the extent to which the impact of sleep on chronic pain is mediated by social lifestyles and inflammation in three different cohorts of adults.
鈥淪LEEP hEALTH pROFILES IN mIDDLE-AGED wORKERS IN rELATION TO CARDIOVASCULAR AND cOGNITIVE hEALTH鈥 鈥 nih/nia r56 (PI: Lee, 09/2020-08/2022)
To uncover distinct sleep profiles in middle-aged adults and provide preliminary analysis relating the sleep profiles to cardiovascular health. We propose to use multidimensional sleep health profiles that measure 鈥渨hich鈥 and 鈥渉ow many鈥 sleep problems co-occur within individuals. Using data from the Midlife in the United States Study, the proposed study aims at examining the associations between sleep health profiles and cardiovascular health.
