Undergraduate Research

Overview

Undergraduate research is a critical component of the curriculum for students pursuing degrees within the College of Arts and Sciences. Students may participate in active research across a wide spectrum of disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, and physical sciences with faculty that are on the cutting edge of their fields of study. Undergraduate research may take on many different forms including formal coursework through Special Topics courses, Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs, and volunteering. The USF Office of High Impact Practices and Undergraduate Research provides information for students wishing to engage in the transformative world of undergraduate research and scholarship including coursework opportunities, funding, workshops, etc.
