Bio

Dr. Chesser's teaching expertise includes developmental, biological, personality, educational, and medical psychology, as well as psychological tests & measurements, and elementary statistics.

Her research broadly focuses on understanding how early childhood experiences influence cognitive abilities. She uses a complex systems theory framework, large-scale longitudinal data sets, and computational methods to investigate how adversity influences cognitive development in children and adolescents.
