Academic and Career Assessment Services
From deciding on an academic path to evaluating possible careers, college forces students to confront some major decisions that can determine the direction of their futures. Fortunately, they鈥檙e not alone. USF offers a variety of assessment and planning services designed to guide students to the best choice based on their interests, talent and job market opportunities:
Internships
Internships at USF offer students a hands-on introduction to working in a desired field of study. Students will learn how course material is applied to real-world work responsibilities and build valuable experience that will help them build their resume and eventually gain full-time employment. USF鈥檚 location in the dynamic Tampa Bay region offers students many opportunities to gain experience with a wide variety of local companies across various industries.
Cooperative Education
Cooperative education (co-op) at USF incorporates hands-on, paid, career-related work experience with the student鈥檚 academic program to provide valuable training. Students work alongside industry professionals committed to mentoring and developing young professionals. Co-ops are offered part-time (15-25 hours per week) or full-time (35 hours per week), and they are typically longer in duration than an internship.
Job Search
From resume help to networking to finding job openings to interviewing, the job search can be a daunting process. Fortunately, USF offers numerous resources to guide students through each and every step.
