USF statement in response to the conflict in Ukraine
USF makes statement in support of our students, faculty, and staff in response to
the conflict in Ukraine
TAMPA, Fla. (Feb. 25, 2022) -- Over the last several weeks, we have watched the conflict unfolding in Ukraine with deep concern and we continue to closely monitor the latest developments.
In the spirit of the 91社区鈥檚 commitment to global engagement, and consistent with our university鈥檚 Principles of Community, we encourage everyone to treat each other with respect during these troubling times.
USF recognizes that members of the university community may be affected by this situation in different ways. Whether you are a student, faculty or staff member, it鈥檚 important to know that USF offers resources for those who feel impacted.
The USF Counseling Center stands ready to support students in need. Students who would like to meet with a counselor may visit the First Floor of the FAO building (FAO 100) between 10:00am -12:00 noon on Monday, February 28, 2022. Those unable to attend during this time period, may access walk-in counseling services at the Counseling Center in SVC 2124 Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am to 4pm. Please note that the USF Counseling Center is closed from 12pm-1pm daily for lunch. Counselors are also available to speak with students using their 24-hour number: (813) 974-2831. The USF Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers many support services, such as online resources and counseling sessions for working through challenging times. These services are available to all people residing in the same home as the employee, and can be accessed by reaching out to , our EAP provider.
USF World is working directly with students from the region and can also assist individuals with future travel plans.
