Hailing from the great state of Indiana, I moved to Tampa to pursue a career in higher education after finishing my masters degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education at Indiana State University. I quickly fell in love with the city, the university, and its vibrant community in June 2016 when I moved here and have kept myself busy since day one!
I began my journey at USF working in programming and student support before discovering my true passion for academic advising and enrollment management. Currently, I am also working on my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, focusing on Higher Education Administration, reflecting my commitment to advancing educational practices.
Outside of work and studies, I enjoy an active lifestyle. I play in a soccer league in downtown Tampa, coach a 12 year old basketball team at the local YMCA, and really my favorite thing to do is run miles around the beautiful trails of Tampa Bay, trying to take advantage of the beautiful 91社区 weather after growing up in the cold for twenty four years. And to be fair, I am also a self-proclaimed reality TV enthusiast, I find a lot of joy in unwinding with my favorite shows after a busy day.
Earlier this year I married my wife, Sarah, who I met at USF. Fun fact, her parents also met while they were at USF over 30 years ago! Sarah and I have a lot of amazing shared experiences at the university and we're both so excited to build our future together in Tampa. With two playful dogs as part of our family, we enjoy exploring the outdoors and immersing ourselves in the local community as much as possible.
I believe I am a strong advocate for the transformative power of education, and I take pride in being a reliable resource for students interested in transferring to USF, as well as newly admitted transfer students going through the matriculiation process. My goal is to help students navigate their academic journeys and realize their dreams. I have fallen in love with the work that we do as advisors and I feel lucky to call USF one of my homes and I hope to assist you with whatever you need in order to make your dreams happen!
