Novel Models of Agriculture

Welcome to the Novel Models of Agriculture Working Group!

Our goal is to advance the creation and growth of a local, circular food system through stakeholder co-created knowledge around the use, efficacy, and appropriateness of innovative agricultural models and technologies.

Our guiding objectives include:

Objective 1: Advance the growth and integration of food production, processing, distribution, consumption, and waste across traditional and alternative farming into urban development projects

Objective 2: Assess the cost, effectiveness, appropriateness and sustainability of novel approaches and technologies designed to enhance the efficiency, connectivity, and impact of the urban farming food system in the Tampa Bay region

Objective 3: Inventory the expertise and experiences of agri-professionals, economists, policy advocacy groups for the multi-fold purposes of mapping the respective and collective impact of these food system stakeholders within a novel urban food system model, identifying opportunities for innovation based on need, and bringing awareness to career pathways across the local food system

Objective 4: Disseminate findings for use, application, and scalability across food system stakeholders, private-public sectors, and education and outreach providers.

Join us in mobilizing the growth of our local food system! Whether you're a farmer, educator, policy maker, or community member, your insights and participation are invaluable. Together, we can create a food system that benefits everyone. Get involved today and be part of the change!
