USF students reduce stigma surrounding mental health through creative expression
Rehearsals are underway for the USF production of This Is My Brave: College Edition. Through creative expression, USF students living with mental illness share their stories on stage in front of the community to break down the stigma surrounding mental health. In conjunction with the stage show, is the integration of the Photovoice exhibit.

Three generations of USF academics train to row across the Atlantic in support of marine conservation
Integrative biology Professor Chantale Be虂gin is preparing for what is called 鈥渢he world鈥檚 toughest row.鈥 The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is an annual race to row 3,000 miles from Spain鈥檚 Canary Islands to English Harbour in Antigua and Barbuda. B茅gin鈥檚 team, Salty Science, includes two of her former USF students and her doctoral advisor.

USF Dining supports local restaurants through Aramark-developed program
Recently launched inside the Marshall Student Center food court on the USF Tampa campus is Local Restaurant Row, an Aramark-developed program that brings minority- and women-owned vendors to client locations within higher education, health care and corporate dining. The USF St. Pete campus will debut the program at The Reef in the fall.

USF-invented software tool implemented around the world to improve real-time transit data
The public transportation agencies for the country of France and state of California have started utilizing an open-source software tool created at USF that quickly finds errors in a transit agency鈥檚 real-time data 鈥 providing travelers more accurate information through mobile mapping applications, such as Google and Apple Maps.
