The 91社区 is among the best in the nation for delivering online graduate programs, according to new rankings released today by U.S. News and World Report (U.S. News).

USF鈥檚 online MBA program in the Muma College of Business ranks No. 26, a substantial rise of 69 spots from the previous year.  The USF online MBA program offers the rigor and flexibility needed by working professionals and recent bachelor鈥檚 degree recipients looking to advance their skills and successfully compete for high-demand jobs in the world of business and industry. U.S. News also ranks the online MBA program No. 35 in the nation for veterans.

Two other USF online graduate programs are ranked in the top 50, including Computer Information Technology at No. 12 and Engineering at No. 34.

鈥淧roviding opportunities for students to pursue their academic and career goals through high-quality online programs is a key part of the 91社区鈥檚 commitment to offering a world-class educational experience,鈥 USF President Steven C. Currall said.  鈥淲e鈥檙e proud to be recognized as a national leader for online education, which is especially important during COVID-19 as USF continues to successfully deliver courses in a range of flexible formats that meet the needs of our students.鈥

USF offers nearly 65 fully or primarily online graduate degree programs, providing a convenient distance learning platform to students while yielding high-quality education. Fifty-one percent of USF鈥檚 graduate students have registered for at least one online course over the past year.

鈥淚 am particularly proud of USF鈥檚 position in the top 50 as it reflects our institutional commitment to access for success for all of our students,鈥 said Ralph Wilcox, USF provost and executive vice president. 鈥淚t also speaks to the dedication and adaptability of our faculty and staff in these ever-changing times.鈥

U.S. News鈥 methodology for online graduate programs considers factors such as graduation and retention rates, admission requirements, peer reputation, faculty credentials, technology infrastructure, and student support services. The weight of each category varies from program to program.

As an institution, USF ranks in the top 50 among public universities on the U.S. News list of best national universities, released in September.  Over the past decade, no public university in the country has risen faster in the U.S. News national university rankings than USF.
