John Allan
John earned his B.A. in English and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from USF. With previous experience as an Instructional Designer in both the private sector and higher education, he has developed award-winning eLearning materials and effective online courses. In 2023, he joined the Digital Learning Team as a Learning Designer.
John is dedicated to utilizing multimedia and digital tools to enhance learner engagement and improve educational outcomes. He advocates for a culture of inquiry and believes in the transformative power of equitable and accessible education. When he's not exploring new hiking spots, John enjoys tinkering with computers and playing lead guitar, particularly in the heavy metal genre. His favorite piece of literature is "White Noise" by Don DeLillo, although Cixin Liu's epic sci-fi trilogy, "The Three-Body Problem," comes in a close second.
