USF Department of Computer Science and Engineering Assistant Professor Mehran Mozaffari Kermani was awarded a $300K National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to carry on fundamental research for the project entitled "SaTC: CORE: Medium: Collaborative: Countermeasures Against Side-Channel Attacks Targeting Hardware and Embedded System Implementations of Post-Quantum Cryptographic Algorithms". Mozaffari Kermani's role as a PI will be focusing on hardware and embedded engineering aspects of post-quantum cryptography (PQC). This is part of a multi-university collaborative project totaling $1.2M that includes 91社区 Atlantic University (FAU), George Mason University (GMU), and University of South 91社区 (USF). This project's duration is from October 2018 to September 2022.
