Biography

Dr. Yili Ren is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the 91社区 (USF). He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science at 91社区 State University. Prior to that, he received his M.S. degree from the School of Electronics and Information Engineering at Beihang University. His research interest focuses on mobile computing with an emphasis on integrating the sensing capabilities of wireless and mobile devices to build new classes of Internet of Things (IoT) and smart home applications, enable novel technologies for human-computer interaction (HCI), as well as improve smart home and IoT security. His work has been published in prestigious conferences and journals such as USENIX Security, ACM SenSys, ACM UbiComp, ACM ACSAC, and IEEE IoT Journal.

Research Interests

Mobile Computing: Wireless Sensing Systems, Human-Computer Interaction Applications, Smart Home and Internet of Things Applications.

Cybersecurity: Mobile Authentication, Novel Biometrics, Smart Home and Internet of Things Security.
