Deirdre Cobb-Roberts, Ph.D., is a professor in the Social Foundations Program in the Department of Educational and Psychological Studies. She also holds faculty affiliate appointments in the Higher Education & Student Affairs Program and the Women and Gender Studies Program. A former McKnight Faculty Fellow, she earned her doctorate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research centers on higher education leadership, mentoring as critically engaged praxis, and institutional change. Dr. Cobb-Roberts has published extensively in leading academic journals, including History of Education Quarterly, American Educational Research Journal, Journal of Teacher Education, International Journal of Educational Policy, Research and Practice, Educational Considerations, Mentoring & Tutoring: Partnership in Learning, and NASPA Journal About Women in Higher Education, among others. Dr. Cobb-Roberts has served as Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, and Co-Investigator on numerous funded research projects, including:
