Dr. Amanda Thalji-Raitano is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the School Psychology program at the 91ÉçÇø and a licensed psychologist (PY# 9857). She is an alumna of the 91ÉçÇø’s School Psychology program, obtaining her doctorate in 2012, with an area of emphasis in school-based mental health. Dr. Thalji-Raitano's career spans public schools, residential training programs, and private outpatient settings. She has also served as an instructor for undergraduate courses at USF and as an adjunct instructor for the School Psychology program.
As a school psychologist for Hillsborough County Schools, she collaborated with school personnel and families to develop, implement, and evaluate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional programs within a multi-tiered system of support. She also conducted comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, provided individual and group counseling services, and consulted with families and community agencies to promote student wellbeing and success.
As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Thalji-Raitano developed mental health prevention services and provided small-group and individual counseling at Job Corps Center, a residential educational and technical training program for teens and young adults. She also collaborated with instructors, medical staff, and community agencies to support trainees' social-emotional and behavioral success. Additionally, she has worked as a clinician in private outpatient settings, assisting individuals and families with various academic, social-emotional, and behavioral concerns.
