Nominations are now open for the USF College of Education's 2023 Distinguished Alumni Awards program. Alumni, staff, faculty, students and friends of the university are welcome to nominate College of Education graduates from across all three USF campuses for these prestigious awards.

The College of Education welcomes Luis R. Visot as the college鈥檚 new assistant dean of administration and innovation. In this newly created role, Visot will manage internal administrative activities and external innovation projects on behalf of the Dean. He will also provide leadership, oversight and guidance for new initiatives and projects of high importance and engage faculty and staff in identifying opportunities to implement effective improvements and responses.

USF to launch new graduate certificate in 鈥楪ame Design for Learning鈥� this fall
Starting this fall, the USF College of Education will offer a new graduate certificate in game design for learning. The graduate certificate will provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate educational games and integrate them into curricula.

The USF College of Education welcomes Peter Trakas, EdD, as the new director of the Gus A. Stavros Center for Free Enterprise and Economic Education. In this role, Trakas will lead the Stavros Center in its mission of advancing the effective teaching and integration of economic education, free enterprise and financial literacy into K-20 curricula.
