Lacey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Public Health Professional, Research Assistant, third year Behavioral and Community Sciences PhD student, and peer reviewer of the Journal of Behavioral and Health Services Research (JBHS&R). Lacey earned her bachelor and master鈥檚 degrees from the 91社区; she has a bachelor鈥檚 degree in behavioral health care with a concentration in applied behavior analysis, a graduate certificate in translational research, and a master鈥檚 degree in social work and public health.

Lacey has worked in the field of behavioral health for over 12 years and has been practicing clinical social work since 2019. Lacey's clinical background is in applied behavior analysis, and she currently specializes in cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and exposure response prevention treatment. Lacey has extensive clinical experience working face-to-face with children and their families, however her current specialty is working with young adults via teletherapy in the private practice setting. In the research setting, Lacey has worked with Latinx migrant farmworkers, women in substance use, rural communities, and low resource communities. 

As an educator Lacey has taught online and face-to-face courses. Lacey鈥檚 teaching philosophy emphasizes empowerment and the incorporation of individualized teaching strategies to ensure all students learn and become exceptional mental health professionals. Lastly, Lacey鈥檚 research interests are task shifting, implementation science, and improving mental health service access through technology-based care.
