Lindsay Peterson, PhD, a research assistant professor in the School of Aging Studies, was one of five women researchers featured at a recent Women Conquer ALZ event at the Tampa Women’s Club. March 8 was International Women’s Day.
Peterson worked with the Alzheimer’s Association on a recent grant funded by the Retirement Research Foundation. She conducted qualitative research with caregivers of individuals living with dementia about disaster preparedness and used the data to create a disaster preparedness guide tailored to meet caregivers’ needs. Working with her on the project were Bill Haley, PhD, Debra Dobbs, PhD, and Sara Hackett, PhD, all from the School of Aging Studies.
