International scholar Nawdeep Puranik is visiting the School of Aging Studies from the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business to collaborate on the Models and Methods for an Active Ageing workforce: an International Academy (MAIA) Project with School of Aging Studies Interim Director Debra Dobbs, PhD.
For the next two months, Puranik will be working with Dobbs and other faculty in the School of Aging Studies and developing collaborations related to aging research across USF. His main focus is on leadership empathy and older workers and the role empathy plays in the transfer of knowledge as older workers near retirement.
MAIA is a Research and Innovation Staff Exchange funded by the European Union Horizon 2020 research and innovation program. The program focuses on active aging industrial workforce problems and needs and develops an international academy, comprising of 14 academic partners, including seven European universities and seven third countries universities.
