Julissa Robles, a student in the on-campus Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, received a fellowship offered through Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay (BCOTB). The fellowship provides a two-semester stipend for a student to work at BCOTB as their practicum placement in exchange for the student鈥檚 commitment to work at BCOTB upon graduation.
BCOTB has been one of Tampa鈥檚 leading providers of ABA therapy services for over fifteen years. BCOTB prioritizes improving the lives of children with autism through assessment and treatment of problem behavior, pre-academic, and social skills.
ABA Assistant Program Director Catia Cividini-Motta, PhD, BCBA-D, ABA on-campus MS Practicum Coordinator Meka McCammon, PhD, BCBA-D, BCOTB President Kelley Prince, and BCOTB Director of Business Development Nikki Bennett presented Julissa with the fellowship funds to be used toward completing her degree.
After graduating, Julissa hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of the families she serves. She has particular interest in helping children with autism spectrum disorder reach their social, language acquisition, and feeding goals. Additionally, Julissa aspires to continue working with early childhood aged individuals and looks forward to opportunities to gain experience working with those living with developmental disabilities.
