Dr. Varsha Rallapalli is a clinical translational researcher and an audiologist with expertise in hearing aids, speech perception, and cognition. Her research is focused on developing evidence-based solutions for personalizing hearing aids based on a systematic understanding of the interaction between signal processing, individual abilities, and realistic environmental conditions. Dr. Rallapalli received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in Speech and Hearing from the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing. She went on to earn her Au.D. and Ph.D. from Purdue University, where she became increasingly interested in hearing aid technology and using that technology to meet patients鈥� needs. She completed postdoctoral training at Northwestern University with a focus on the role of cognitive abilities in fitting hearing aids. Her research has been supported by NIH as well as the American Speech & Hearing Foundation.
