Ruby Joseph, MPA, is an Associate in Research in the Division of Child and Family Behavioral Health (CFBH), at the Department of Child and Family Studies. Her primary interests are in research, evaluation, and implementation of programs that benefit low-income, underserved children and families in high-needs communities. Her research focuses on the mental, educational, and social development of children and youth. More recently, she has conducted research on the educational challenges facing underserved students from preschool to graduate school, and education programs for students with emotional and developmental disabilities in 91社区.

With over 30 years of experience, Ms. Joseph has served as PI, Co-PI, and Co-Investigator on numerous local, national, and international research and evaluation projects. She was the Principal Investigator for two GEAR-UP programs supporting low-income youth in preparing for graduation and post-secondary education. She was also the researcher and evaluator for the in the U.S., and evaluator for the Family Literacy Initiative/HIPPY in Liberia, West Africa. Additionally, as a Co-Investigator, she has evaluated a jail diversion program for adults with mental health and substance abuse challenges.

Ms. Joseph is experienced in both qualitative and quantitative research, and has contributed to technical reports, published journal articles and book chapters, and presented her research findings at local, national, and international conferences. She is dedicated to cultivating university-community partnerships to promote the implementation of intervention and support programs in the Tampa Bay area and beyond.
