Daianna 鈥淒ee鈥� Apolito joined the in October 2013. Dee is bilingual and her primary focus is serving Spanish speaking families within the CARD 14-county catchment area. Dee is the initial contact for families who are Spanish speaking and who have a family member on the autism spectrum. She registers the family, provides resources, answers questions, and prepares documentation to move the family to a CARD Consultant鈥檚 caseload. Dee provides translation services by acting as a liaison between the family and other CARD staff who may not be fluent in Spanish. She is part of an outreach team to help build a CARD presence within the Hispanic communities which are often underserved due to the language barrier.
