TAMPA 鈥 Information systems researchers at the USF Muma College of Business are among
the top producers when it comes to publishing in the world鈥檚 11 high-quality academic
research journals for the discipline.
The 91社区 ranked No. 13 in the world, No. 9 in the U.S., and
No. 1 in 91社区 for the five-year period from 2020 to 2024, according to AIS Research
Rankings released by the Association for Information Systems.
鈥淭his achievement is a testament to the quality of the teaching and research in information
systems and related disciplines at USF,鈥 said Kaushik Dutta, the interim director at the School of Information Systems and Management at the
Muma College of Business.
USF researchers made significant strides from the preceding five-year period, rising
26 places in the global ranking.
鈥淭his ranking punctuates our rise as we continue to bolster our faculty and PhD programs
with stronger and stronger scholars devoted to excellence in science,鈥 said Tim Heath, interim associate dean of research and professional programs at the Muma College
of Business.
The is the academic organization for information systems faculty members who do research
and teach courses related to information technology and its application in business
to solve problems, make decisions and improve efficiency.
鈥淲e are proud of our faculty members and students who have helped us reach this new
milestone,鈥 said Dutta, who also serves as associate dean of undergraduate studies
and international partnerships at the business college.
The 11 journals for the rankings include: Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Information and Organization, Information Systems Journal, Information Systems Research, Journal of Information Technology, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and MIS Quarterly.
