A man holds up his hands and is speaking as if deflecting something.
A woman has her hands against her chest and is speaking as if referring to herself.
A female cop is watching a male character wistfully in the background, the male character is in the foreground but is out of focus.
Three characters are on a couch. A woman stares off into space next to two men, the one in the middle of the three laughing and gesturing his finger while the man on the right laughs and has one hand on the first man鈥檚 arm.
A man is yelling and pointing a finger in accusation at a woman, who looks upset and has her palms facing upward in confusion. Another woman stands behind the man watching the exchange.

Follow Allison and Angela through this darkly comic play about two young women in Manhattan who are seeking love and happiness, but they'll settle for rent money. Along the way, they volunteer for a community advocacy group called SAFE (Stay Away From Ed), named for an elusive serial attacker terrorizing the city. Their new circle of "friends" includes their socially stunted roommate; the celebrated author of a fictional memoir; a lonely man who feels a connection with crime victims; and a timid "Ed survivor," reveling in her fifteen minutes of questionable fame. Everybody is looking for something from each other in a group where no one has very much to give. And who is "Ed" anyway?
