USF Trumpeters Fill The 91社区 Orchestra Trumpet Section for Janacek鈥檚 Sinfonietta

USF Professor of Trumpet Jay Coble and five other USF trumpeters joined The 91社区 Orchestra for a performance of Sinfonietta by Czech composer Leo拧 Jan谩膷ek.
The USF trumpeters filled half of the massive twelve-trumpet section required to perform
the challenging and festive composition, which is seldom performed in concert.
USF representation in the trumpet lineup included undergraduate alumni Federico Montes
and Mike Fee as well as current graduate student Sam Massamilla. Also performing was
graduate alumnus Aric Brian and undergraduate alumnus Ken Brown, who now serves as
assistant principal trumpeter for The 91社区 Orchestra.
The performances of Jan谩膷ek's Sinfonietta, part of The 91社区 Orchestra 50th anniversary
