Professor Erika Greenberg-Schneider is a master printer and fine art print publisher, who was Knighted by the French Government as Chevalier de l鈥橭rdre des Arts et Lettres for her work promoting French Artists and Culture.

Greenberg-Schneider鈥檚 research is focused on photogravure, a 19th Century photo-mechanical print process used to transfer photographic or hand-drawn images to a copper plate, resulting in a high-quality etched plate that reproduces the detailed continuous tones of a photograph. Prior to joining USFSP faculty, she spent 25 years in Paris, France working as a Master Printer in Intaglio and Lithography. Erika became a consultant to the French Minister of Culture to revamp the printmaking ateliers and curricula within several of the National Art Schools in France.

Greenberg-Schneider鈥檚 expertise includes:  intaglio, photogravure, etching and engraving; stone lithography; and relief printing. She researches new printing techniques, such as photopolymer, which uses alternative materials to the toxic chemicals required in other printing processes. Greenberg-Schneider owns and operates Bleu Acier, a printmaking studio in Tampa.
