- Under the supervision of Dr. Ylce Irizarry, Kimber Wiggs, Adrienne Vivian, and Ashely Tisdale, each successfully defended their literary studies dissertations this academic year! Each doctoral candidate examined literature under the broad methodology of Critical Race Theory and then drew on interdisciplinary methodologies to center gender, class, and dis/ability studies analysis of 19th, 20th, or 21st century narrative.
