BIOGRAPHY

Maggie is a Ph.D. Student (Communication Studies) at the 91社区 and holds an M.A. (Mass Communication) and B.A. (General Studies/English) from Brigham Young University. 

Maggie is also a Graduate Teaching Associate at the 91社区 and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tampa and has taught Communication Research Methods, Public Speaking, Group Communication, Principles of Public Relations, Principles of Advertising, and Mass Media and Society.

Academically, Maggie鈥檚 research examines a variety of topics at the intersection of faith, narrative, and community. Maggie also has a love for projects relating to career and resilience as inspired by her 10 years of experience in talent acquisition leadership/training. She has published in the Journal of Public Relations Research, the Routledge Handbook of Employee Communication and Organizational Process, the Journal of Religion Media and Digital Culture, the Journal of Media and Religion, and Pastoral Psychology. She has presented in national and international academic conference settings, such as the National Communication Association (NCA), Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), and Q Conference for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity. 

Professionally (non-academic), Maggie has held founding, directing, managing, and consulting roles in corporate, start-up, and agency talent acquisition settings. Maggie has built and/or restructured recruiting departments, a recruiting process outsourcing (RPO) firm, and talent acquisition agencies handling up to 100-1,000 hires annually. She has personally recruited 1,000+ professional, managerial, and C-Suite positions for organizations nationwide throughout her career.
