NASPAA accreditation is really the gold standard in our field because NASPAA is the body through which academics and practitioners of the highest caliber help to set and maintain the standards for public affairs education in the United States,鈥 explained program director Dr. Stephen Neely.

鈥淓arning and maintaining NASPAA accreditation demonstrates that USF鈥檚 MPA program is consistent and in compliance with these standards, which public administrators look to as a sign of programmatic excellence.鈥

While this recognition is highly valuable for the School of Public Affairs on an institutional level, it also provides peace of mind for the students pursuing their master鈥檚 degree in public administration. According to the NASPAA, this accredited program offers students the resources they need to achieve their learning goals, complete the program, and ultimately pursue a career in public service.

鈥淥ur program and curriculum have been designed intentionally and deliberately to reflect the most important principles, values, and standards in the field of public administration,鈥 Neely said.

鈥淏y engaging with NASPAA for our accreditation, we are engaged in a process of continual improvement to ensure we are delivering the highest quality of education for students, based on the most current and critical developments in the field of public administration.鈥

For full consideration for the upcoming spring semester, applications to the MPA program are due October 15, 2024. Learn more about the program鈥檚 admission requirements.
